Universal Ideology
Universal Ideology is not a religion but an ethical practice for mankind to live in harmony and peace thru basic principles of humanity for a sustainable society. It does not advocate one to adopt a new religion. It does not interfere in personal religion or sect or culture practiced by others.
The world of vivid religions, cultures, and political systems has reached a state where most citizens, whether belonging to rich or poor nations, have common problems of inequality, corruption, and accumulation of wealth by a few capitalist or political rulers. Poor nations, in addition, have problems of malnutrition, poor health infrastructure, unemployment, housing, and expensive school education.

Since the 20th century, new technologies have come up in every field whether it is agriculture or construction or medical science, or IT. Each technology intends to make life easier and increase sensory pleasures of mankind, but is mired by facts that it is working against humanity, against ecology and making men slave to technology and prone to health damage.
The expansionist agenda by America, China and terror by most radical nations to have supremacy and hold on Petroleum resources, land and water is leading to world war, and retarding growth of civilization, making world more unsafe and unfit to live on.
Environmental degradation of the earth is leading to frequent natural disasters like floods, forest fire, earthquakes, and recent diseases CORONA is live example of what lies ahead if nothing done to reverse the damage being done.
Mahatma Gandhi advocated sewa parmo dhramah (सेवा परमो धर्मः) and advised complete unity and integrity of body, mind and soul. All social actions should be governed by the same simple set of moral values, i.e. Yam and Niyam as defined in Patanjali Yog Sutras. A shift is required in mind set of all people to live for others and not for self, that gives real inner peace and happiness. Service to mankind is real worship. India needs this shift to Humanism, so that development and government welfare schemes can reach the lowest needy without siphoning of funds.
Oneness of God
Gita in shloka 7.21 describes about god in following terms: Whatever celestial form a devotee seeks to worship with faith, the god steady the faith of such a devotee in that form. “
Christ also describes in the Bible that all souls are the children of God, and he is willing to accept everyone with open arms, provided they come to him with genuine love.
Yog Sutra 1.39 also states that “ By meditating on any object of one’s choice, one attains steadiness of mind.”
Thus, God is for all and exists in the mind, the way we want it to be. The religions are an ethical code of conduct for peaceful co-existence.
Most of the religions teach the practice of general ethics. These can be developed by understanding and practicing yoga. Yoga is the science of body, mind, and soul. Adoption of yoga and meditation enables people to harmonize the relations within the family and within the community.
Yoga starts with Yam and Niyam. The YAMAS and NIYAMAS, combined, constitute the personal and social aspects of good conduct. These are to be practiced individually, as well as in relation to the society.

YAMA
Yamas are social and universal virtues which are in the form of moral and social obligations for an individual to live in peace and harmony with his family, society and nation. These are five, Nonviolence ( Not to Inflict physical and mental pain to others, even by thought ). Truth, NON stealing (including government taxes), CELIBACY- (observance of strict discipline in sexual indulgence, absence of lust and practice of self- control, nature permits sex only for procreation), NON Hoarding/Greed.
NIYAMAS
Niyamas tell us how to interact with ourselves. While the yamas consist of prohibitions and abstentions, niyamas are positive in nature. The five niyamas are as follows:
Cleanliness—Cleanliness of both inner and external body and mind, Contentment (dilution of desires to get inner peace), Austerity (capacity to face all odds and difficulties and total control over emotions and senses), Study of good scriptures (leads to learning of moral values/good conduct/self-analysis/elevation of intellect) and Surrender to God. Thus, following an ethical code of conduct, we can live in peace and harmony in our family, in our society, in our nation and the world.
