All negative food cause making of toxins and need to be expelled by body. If these toxins are not expelled, than the accumulation can cause various diseases.
As per circadian clock we must eat food between 6 am to 6 pm .

TYPEs OF FOOD

Satvik

Food that enhances age, enhances cognitive powers, is energetic, is pleasurable to eat, and gives positive vibes/emotions on looking at it. It has moisture, is juicy, and is fresh. Example: milk, cow ghee, veg, fruits, jaggery, wheat, barley, rice, and most green nature vegetables and fruits.

Rajsik

Sour, bitter, salty, hot, dry, onion, and garlic—all generate unhappiness, diseases produce unhealthy minds, and set in diseases, animal instincts, arouse sexual desires, and physical pleasures.

Tamsik

Foul smell, indigestible, stale, out of violence/meat—use of this food leads to evil and violent minds and sick bodies.
